Can you fall in love with someone you have never met?

Falling in love is not based on physical attraction (or at least it shouldn't be!). If you think you have fallen in love with someone because you lust after their body, this is NOT love.

True love is not something that comes easily. True love happens much in the same way that a business contract is developed. In true love there has to be a meeting of the minds, and this can occur without meeting someone physically.

For instance, I fell in love once with a girl I met online. To me, this is not truly a meeting. Because for all I know it could have been a man I was talking to or a computer program. Needless to say, after 3 kids and 11 years of marriage, I am still in love with my wife who I never truly met first.

I suppose I met her mind and fell in love with that, there was a meeting of the minds and a sharing of thoughts and dreams, in writing. So before I spoke with her on the phone, before I saw her pretty face I was head over heels in love with her.

So the short answer is I am living proof that you can fall in love with someone you never really met.
